Howard Dean: Health Care Bill Is “Bad For This Country”, Says He Would Vote To Kill It
Of course, Howard Dean’s motivations for opposing this bill are different from conservatives. He wants more government price controls over private health insurance plans, and also more elements of a purely single-payer plan.
But even so, he recognizes that the current bills in the House and the Senate are worse than doing nothing at all.
Hmm. Why isn’t this getting bigger play in the MSM?

Probably because he isn’t a practicing physician.
Sarcasm, correct?
No kidding. I mean, when’s the last time you saw him in a white lab coat?
That would be late 2003, when Dean was the Democratic frontrunner (in dollars, at least), and he was playing up his background as a licensed physician with a practice in Vermont, before becoming Governor there.
Dean’s health care preferences are based on that experience in a very small state with a tiny government bureaucracy and budget to match. I’m not sure he grasps the mess his prescriptions would cause outside of tiny Vermont.
