Chavez steps up Colombia war talk
“Let’s not waste a day on our main aim: to prepare for war and to help the people prepare for war, because it is everyone’s responsibility,” Mr Chavez said during his TV and radio show Alo, Presidente.
Nice man. Looks like he will be attacking Columbia sometime in the next six months.
In response to Mr Chavez’s comments, Colombian President Alvaro Uribe said his government would seek help from the UN Security Council and also the Organization of American States.
I’m sure both groups will be happy to help. Chavez.

Great. If their football team is any indication, it ought to be a cakewalk. Then — on to Harvard.
Why would Venereal’s Communist dictator attack Harvard? As a whole, they’re ardent supporters of Communism. Or at least useful idiots.
Let’s see - Venezuela has 26 million people and an army of 65,000, while Colombia has 45 million people and and army of 125,000.
Venezuela has a modern air force with 24 Russian SU-30’s and 12 operational F-16’s, but few transport helicopters. Colombia has 12 French Mirage fighters, 15 Israeli Kfir fighters and 25 Brazilian Embraer attack planes, plus 82 American helicopters, 41 transport and 41 combat, including 25 Blackhawks.
Colombia’s military has extensive combat experience dealing with FARC and two other groups and has benefitted from extensive American training, while Venezuela has no recent combat experience and has had only Cuban training.
It looks like Gordo Chavez is counting on the Russian SU-30’s to deliver a knockout early on. If they can’t, expect Venezuela to go to the UN and OAS and beg them to broker a cease-fire.
