28 out of 52 congressional members of the “blue dog coalition” supported the Pelosi/Obama bill which will raise our taxes, destroy Capitalism, give the government more control of our lives, is in complete violation of the Constitution, will raise costs, add trillions to the deficit, force us onto government run health care, will guarantee people something they have no right to, along with death panels, jail time if you want freedom, and the end of America as we know it.
Also, 14 of these “lap dogs” who voted for the Pelosi/Obama care freedom destruction bill of 2009, reside in Republican districts.
8th congressional district - United States Marine and Republican candidate for Congress, Justin Kelly is running against the supposed “lapdog” from this district, a candidate we must support.

I called Congressman Jim Cooper’s office (TN-5, Nashville) in the summer, and a staffer solemnly assured me that Cooper would never vote for a bill with a public option in it. But since Cooper also avoided every public event that any Tea Party activity might find, I didn’t believe that lying SOB staffer. After dodging everything except some invitation-only meetings all summer, Cooper then admitted in public that he would in fact vote for a bill with a public option.
These people suck. They really, really suck. They are loyal to their tribe, and they really don’t give a flying (^$# about us, as long as they can satisfy their tribe and keep on wielding the power and getting the perks.
The Democrats managed to have the district gerrymandered in 2000 to make it very hard for anyone else to win here. The south part Nashville, which is where the conservative votes and the money are, was grafted onto the district south of us (Marsha Blackburn’s district). That district starts about 100 yards south of my house.
Cooper may be classified as a Blue Dog, but the district has not had a Republican in Congress since 1875, so he doesn’t have much to fear. It would take a pile of money plus a great candidate plus a historic tide for Republicans to beat him. And he knows it.
My state’s reps ran the table:
Unsurprising, Dave, given that your state already has a hugely expensive socialized medicine system - thanks to your Dems - and your “Conservative Republican” former governor.
