The saddest thing about this is that Hoffman probably would have won if candidates names were removed from the damned ballot when they back out of the race.
But that ‘Republican seat since the Civil War’ thing is the spin they’ll use as long as they can to make it look like ‘teabaggers’ screwed it up for the Reps. And you can bet that no one’ll correct it in the MSM.
Maybe she’s thinking of the short-lived Repub resurgence from the Contract with America. More likely she had her mouth in fifth gear and what passes for her mind in reverse as usual.
