Facebook | Sarah Palin: A Victory for Common Sense and Fiscal Sanity
“The cause goes on. Don’t get cynical because look at yourselves and what you were willing to do, and recognize that there are millions and millions of Americans out there that want what you want, that want it to be that way, that want it to be a shining city on a hill.”
Sarah Palin quoting Ronald Reagan after his 1976 defeat.
It has long been a project of the American left, in tandem with the Establishment “Center Right,” to pretend that Ronald Reagan has no relevance to our modern situation.
This is, of course, untrue - Reagan’s principles of small government, individual liberty, and personal responsibility are timeless, and just as needed today as they were when he came roaring back from his 1976 defeat to take the White House from a man and a party who believed and practiced just the opposite.
