Afghan President Karzai Gets Another Term - WSJ.com

Afghanistan’s messy election ended yesterday with President Hamid Karzai securing another five-year term after his challenger withdrew and a run-off was called off.

I wonder how much the American taxpayer had to pony up in cold, hard cash to pull that one off?

    Won’t likely turn out to be anything like worth it, even if it only came to a couple thousand in small, used bills plus several hundred old campaign buttons reworked to read “I Like Ike Hamid!” (Which I, of course, doubt that it did…)

    These guys are one of the biggest heroin supplies on the planet. They know all about getting the big bucks out of stupid westerners. They won’t accept chump change.
