Michelle Malkin » Olympics Crony Watch: You can’t say that!
In which Barack Obama attempts to deliver the Multi-Billion Dollar Boodle Bag to his cronies and other Chicago crooks.
I lived in Denver back when the citizenry voted down the money-pit of the Winter Olympics, much to the howling disgust of the big-money corruptocrats who were backing it. Guess what?
The world didn’t end. And Denver never had to go on the hook for several billion dollars of bad debt.
Like most international organizations, the Olympics Committee is totally corrupt, even by the usual standards of such international corruption. Which means it should get along just fine with Obama and the Chicago swamp-monsters from whence he came.

I don’t know, Bill. This looks like a Hitler-Stalin grudge match (I don’t think much of Godwin’s law either). There is NO honor among thieves, and since the Chicago mob would be fighting on their home turf, I’d expect them to do serious financial damage to the IOC.
Given that the main competitor is Rio De Janeiro and the Brazilian economy is booming, with major oil discoveries to prop it up, I expect Obama’s “rhetorical gifts” to be no match for the IOC’s greed.
Chicago is in the mix to have the absolute worst school system in the country, worst because they have no money. If I lived there I’d fight this tooth and nail and then after they “get” the games, move. But Obama is the prez and the corrupt Dem party controls the Congress and I’m betting the U.S. will end up footing the bill for the Olympic Games “too big to fail.”
Now Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will be spearheading Rio’s pitch for the Olympics. May the best marxist win.
