Hot Air » Blog Archive » Video: Scarborough goes after Glenn Beck
A choice cut of red meat to unite the tribes after last night’s civil war over Beck and Levin. Sneer at Scarborough if you like but all he’s doing in calling out people like Romney is anticipating a future media strategy against the GOP’s presidential contenders — i.e. amassing the kookiest or most incendiary stuff that Beck’s said and then putting them on the spot by asking them to denounce it. (Democrats are never asked to denounce Olbermann’s crap, of course, although that may be because no one watches Olbermann.) It’s the same shtick they pulled with Republican congressional leaders earlier this year vis-a-vis Limbaugh’s “I want him to fail” comment….
Help me out with the logic here. “Republicans” should disavow Beck because the lefties use what he says as a tactic against the GOP - as they did with Rush.
I’m sorry, but I can’t make sense out of that. It hands control of the right’s actions over to the left. It is in part the same logic that led to the disastrous nomination of John McCain - we had to nominate somebody who would appeal to other than the “conservative base.” How did that work out for you, morons?
The GOP is apparently still nurturing its death wish. Fine with me. I’m not a Republican. I do wish that if the GOP intends to commit suicide, it would get on with it, so we can start building something on its cowardly, corrupt, decadent grave.

A couple of weeks ago, as the news of Rangel tax evasion dripped out into the media, I was listening to Scarborough’s radio show and he teased the audience with some inside dirt on Rangel but then refused to reveal the details. He actually said he was afraid of some retribution.
I immediately changed stations and have been listening to Beck ever since, who is on at the same time.
