It’s always better to assert American values, both because he’s our president and he should be speaking for all of us, and because catering to the tender sensibilities of the murders in Iran won’t gain anything. It will only increase their contempt.

You don’t understand. “American values” are only to be used when it aids our enemies, as at Guantanamo or regarding interrogation practices - or Mirandizing captured Islamist warriors in Afghanistan.

American values are null and void when it comes to those resisting Islamist terror and tyranny in Obamaworld.
