Obama pledges U.S. support for South Korea’s defense
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama assured South Korean President Lee Myung-bak on Monday of Washington’s “unequivocal commitment” to the defense of South Korea following a nuclear test by North Korea.
Right.
Supposedly the reason that “military responses” are “completely out of bounds” is because there is nothing we can do to stop North Korea from destroying Seoul and killing millions whenever they wish to do so.
It used to be they would have to do it with artillery. I suppose a smuggled nuke would be just as effective. Now that they have nukes, of course.

They’re doomed…
Actually, a smuggled nuke would be more effective. They could say that somebody else smuggled the nuke that destroyed Seoul in, but artillery shells would leave a radar trail pointing to just north of the DMZ.
