Which brings us to the even bigger problem: Obama has no idea what’s going on in Turkey. By going to Ankara on his knees, he gave his seal of approval to a pungently anti-American Islamist government bent on overturning Mustapha Kemal’s legacy of the separation of mosque and state.
Actually, I think he knows exactly what is going on in Turkey, and yet he still did what he did.
Sort of puts a different picture on things, doesn’t it? But it’s a picture that fits with bowing to the loathesome Oilbag King of Saudi Wahabbia, doesn’t it? And kissing the collective Mullahcracy of Iran? And throwing Israel overboard to please the Palestinians?
Obama is in full “Appease the Angry Muslims” mode.
And that is the most charitable interpretation of his actions I can come up with.
