U.N. divided over North Korea rocket launch
SEOUL/UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – North Korea fired a long-range rocket on Sunday, provoking international outrage, but a divided U.N. Security Council failed at an emergency meeting to agree on a reaction to Pyongyang’s defiant move.
Of course it did. Only fools and Obamamaniacs think that the UN has any utility beyond occasionally providing cover when one of the nations that matter wants to accomplish something.

The UN is also good at applying pass-through costs to the buckets of money they collect and are supposed to pass through to worthy causes.
Oh, and they’re really good at pissing off everyone they come in contact with. Despite my own astonishing feats of assholery, I stand in awe of UN personnel individually and the UN as an entity.
Anyway, case at hand, the launch was a pathetic fizzle. (At least that’s the cover story. It would be really cool if it was sabotaged or shot down deniably. US Navy Secret Death Ray has 100% success rate so far.) The Norks obviously have the desire to be a regional power (so long as it’s ok with the PRC, that is) but not the ability. Meh, what do you expect from a nation whose leader stopped halfway through his/her gender reassignment procedure?

Wouldn’t it be a little intriguing if the ABL was seen landing at Edwards AFB in the next couple of days, and that its whereabouts for the past week and a half couldn’t be accounted for? ;)
Dear Leader had better start behaving himself or Dear Leader won’t send him any Region 1 DVDs, iPods or “overcharge” buttons.
Obama’s entire objective is just to talk. So in that he will claim a diplomatic victory. It doesn’t matter that he will be talking with Belgium about this, but what the heck. Talk is talk, is talk. Man… does he give a good speech or what? And Europe likes us again!
In the meantime, DPRK is building nukes and missiles with the intention of selling them to people that intend to use them. But man… Isn’t Obama great? Isn’t the UN great? Wow… what a difference an election can make.
