Rasmussen Reports™: The Most Comprehensive Public Opinion Site.
George Lakoff, a professor at the University of California at Berkeley, recently stated that “the moral mission of government is simple: no one can earn a living in America or live an American life without protection and empowerment by the government.”
Thirty-four percent (34%) of voters nationwide agree with Lakoff’s assertion while 46% disagree in a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Twenty percent (20%) are not sure.
34% of American voters need to move immediately to France or Germany, or some other socialist pesthole. They obviously have no idea what America stands for, or what Americans believe.

Actually, I almost agree with the joker. Without government or quasi-government enforcing contracts, discouraging fraud, and discouraging violent crime, it would be very difficult for anyone except thieves to earn a living.
I don’t think that’s what he meant…
OMG no that’s not what he meant. Google him, he’s the one who says that the left should learn to redefine things to take the conservative message away from the right. I think he was also involved with “studies” “confirming” that conservatism is a mental disorder. If he changed the L in his name to a J, that would describe his whole career.
Um…dope dealers?
Which way do you mean this? that they’d have that much more demand for their product? or that they’re denied all those government benefits already?
That’s the one.
In an open-season society, they’d not have the protection of hunting licenses and bag limits.
This is a sign of the end. If you get even close to a large plurality believing this steaming pile, it’s over.
I saw some dullard at Kos some years back who stated something to the effect that people only exist as a source of tax revenue for the government. That idea is so foreign to me that I cannot debate someone who believes because we simply do not live in the same reality.
“a professor”? Lakoff is the unofficial head of leftist propaganda. He’s the guy who says the narrative is all-important.
