TheHill.com - Limbaugh basks in Obama’s spotlight

On Monday, Gibbs challenged reporters to ask Republicans if they agree with Limbaugh’s recent comments that he wants Obama to fail.

Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) agreed with Limbaugh on Tuesday.

“I hope [Obama] fails in advancing leftist policy that I strongly disagree with,” Vitter said. “I think what [Limbaugh] was saying was largely what I am saying.”

What on earth is going on in Louisiana? They elected a conservative governor, and they apparently have a genuine, unashamed conservative senator.

My guess? Katrina resulted in the resettlement out of state of between 100 and 200 thousand black lockstep Democrats, thus removing the overwhelming influence of New Orleans on state politics.
