Some Confusion About House Ownership

Still, the NRA has aroused the ire of some gun-rights Democrats by appearing to tell House leaders that an amendment has to be considered. Some Blue Dogs say that amounts to telling the House how to run its business.

“The D.C. vote bill needs to pass,” said Rep. Dennis Cardoza (D-Calif.), a Blue Dog gun-rights supporter who sits on the House Rules Committee. “I would have concerns about any group who would tell us how to run our House.”

Izzat so, you pathetic little tyrant? Who the hell do you think you work for? You work for exactly the same people who have banded together to make their voices heard via the NRA. Given that you assholes have long ago decided not to listen to ordinary individual citizens, the only way we can make you listen to us is by forming large enough groups, with enough bribe money, to make you fear to ignore us. Hell, yes, we’ll tell you how to run “your” House - because it isn’t “your” House - it’s our House, and you only get to occupy it because we say you can.
