Steele to Rush: I’m sorry - Mike Allen - POLITICO.com
Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele says he has reached out to Rush Limbaugh to tell him he meant no offense when he referred to the popular conservative radio host as an “entertainer” whose show can be “incendiary.”
“My intent was not to go after Rush – I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh,” Steele said in a telephone interview. “I was maybe a little bit inarticulate. … There was no attempt on my part to diminish his voice or his leadership.”
Lying sack of shit.
Steele told CNN host D.L. Hughley in an interview aired Saturday night: “Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer. Rush Limbaugh — his whole thing is entertainment. He has this incendiary — yes, it’s ugly.”
Calling Rush’s act “ugly” was not going after him?
Hell, the GOP only wishes it were the party of Rush. At least if it were, it would demonstrably stand for something that might appeal to conservatives - instead of the morass of pork, patronage, sand pusillanimity it is today.

Yesterday, I said I was born in 2009 when asked for my birthday. I mispoke. What kind of lying whore thinks these things are the same?
If Steele wants a reality check, just have GOP pollsters ask Republican voters whether they think that the country would be better off if governed according to Limbaugh’s principles, or with those of the current GOP.
He’d run like a rabbit after the results were tabulated.
He already knows what the result would be, which is why the poll will never be conducted. Far better to have the flexibility of election-result tea leaves.
