As we slide into the dawning of Day Ten Of The Obamanation…
Tax issues emerge in Daschle nomination
Seems that, in the face of becoming a Presidential Cabinet member, D’asshole was suddenly struck by the “realization” that he might have “overlooked” a few things on his tax returns - for 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Honest professional thief politician that he is, he of course (under the pressure of close bipartisan examination and public disclosure?…) filed amended tax returns for those years - on January 2, 2009 (apparently, after the announcement of his appointment).
The score now stands at two Cabinet nominees with “some tax issues” (The Won’s own White House staff’s words).
As I’ve mentioned before - these people are going to supply all the ammunition required to defeat them. All that must be done is to keep track, and let ‘em keep it coming.
Only 1,451 days to go in this term…

Daschle and Geithner: a whole new version of pay to play.
well, the main reason that the dim-a-crits want to raise taxes is that they ain’t gonna pay them anyway.
Scrappleface has nailed it - it’s all a clever plot by Teh Øne:
(2009-01-31) — In office less than two weeks, President Barack Obama has already increased tax receipts at the U.S. Treasury with an innovative plan to get tax-dodgers to pay up, in full, immediately.
“The president’s plan is simple but ingenious,” said White House spokesman Robert Gibbs, “He targets wealthy individuals who filed inaccurate tax forms, cheating the government out of tens of thousands of dollars. Then he just nominates them for cabinet positions. They suddenly see the error of their ways, and they cut checks for the full amount owed, plus interest.”
He’s a freaking genius!
That actually sounds like something the NYT might write to cover the One’s 6.
