DPers, we seem to have a shortage of dipshits coming to play and be abused. And an utter lack of dipshits who will come back to be abused again.
One way to address this is to bring in more dipshits. Anyone got any ideas for getting more links from Salon or Kos or similar?
Another approach would be for certain commenters -cough- to be less brutal in abusing them. It doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to notice that no one comes back after I really unload on them.
Suggestions? Thoughts? Requests to amp up the abuse to keep them from coming in the first place?

Haha! Some of my first comments on DP were on threads that Tony had graced with his presence, back in 2002. It took me a while to realize he was a bubbling puddle of incoherent thought and not worthy of a reasoned reply.
My fave was a response to his fatuous claim that having your name appear with a comment was proof that you wrote it. My comment was something like how I loved to sniff dog bottoms. Under Tony’s name, of course. Man, you’d have thought I’d just buggered his favorite dead goat and didn’t save any for him! He was screeching about fraud and copyright violation and I don’t know what else.
Good times, indeed.

Phase Two could perhaps involve some vigorous trolling by SteveF, et.al. - maybe that was part of what Chef was alluding to as “honey traps”…
I would think that Salon and Kos, and even HuffPo know enough by now not to give a link to DP. They probably even scrub the comments. Maybe MyDD and TalkLeft aren’t that conscientious. The quality of their readership should be about the same. Honey traps in the comments might do the trick, but who here can impersonate a leftwing moonbat?
