This is supposed to be a new era of bipartisanship, but this bill was written based on the wish list of every living — or dead — Democratic interest group. As Speaker Nancy Pelosi put it, “We won the election. We wrote the bill.” So they did. Republicans should let them take all of the credit.
More than a quarter of a trillion dollars that won’t create a single new long-term job, and may well destroy a few - given how much of that money is devoted to paying people not to work.
Damned right not one single Republican with any principles whatsoever should sign on to this monstrosity. As Barry and his handmaiden Pelosi both put it, “We Won.” Fine. So take full responsibility for what you are about to do with your victory.
Not one bit of cover from the GOP. In fact, those of us 48% not totally immersed in Obama-worship should take careful note of any Republicans who do give Barry cover with their votes. They don’t deserve to hold their offices. Primary challenges for every single one of them - as well as added intense scrutiny on everything they do from here on out.

This should not go unnoted. This is $83B of welfare. Refundable tax credits to people who already aren’t paying taxes, are welfare payments. Doesn’t anyone know a GOP congressman they can tell to speak up?
I’ve been saying for months, to anyone who would listen, that when Obama says “tax cut” he should be heard as saying “welfare payment”. It’s part of a conscious, deliberate — literally Orwellian — attempt to corrupt key political concepts to make it impossible to advocate, describe or even consider pro-freedom policies.
The deliberate description of “pork” as “stimulus” is another example of the same phenomenon. Pro-freedom advocates must be careful to never accept the concepts our opponents use to describe events and proposals without critically analyzing them first.
