The Hill’s Blog Briefing Room » GOP-ers Swoon Over Obama Despite Differences
Inglis said that a comment by Obama that he would rather be a one-term president who addressed the economy than a two-term president who did not went particularly well.
Then Inglis is dumb as a box of Boxers. Obama is incoherent. The only way he’s going to be a “one term president who addresses the economy” is if his method of “addressing” it is a disastrous failure. (Which has been my bet all along).
The only way Obama is going to be a two term president without “addressing” the economy is if the economy heals itself without the massive sort of “addressing” Obama and the Dems are proposing. (Which is what I think would happen - the economy would get better on its own).
So what the hell does Inglis find so attractive about this gibberish? Or is he just sitting there flubbering his fingers across his lips, and waiting for the lobbyists and his special interest contributors to tell him what to do?

Obama — in fact, the whole government, no matter who runs it — can’t actively heal the economic problem. You can’t patch a busted dam with water. The economy is going to look bad in four years, and Obama really has precious little power to make things better. He certainly can make them worse. Unfortunately, the mainstream now believes in a fantasy-land interpretation of Keynes that Keynes himself would disagree with.
