‘What Else Should a Reporter BE’ But a Liberal?
You see, according to Thomas, one cannot be a conservative and be a thinking or caring person. It is clear in her reply to the interviewer. When the interviewer asks Thomas why reports must be liberal and cannot just be objective, Thomas replies with: “You’re not asking people not to think not to care are you?” To Thomas a conservative is not just wrong, mistaken, or even misguided. A conservative is uncaring and unable to think.
There’s a bit of editorial slant in this article, but then Newsbusters never claimed to be objective and unbiased.
Here’s a funny straight article. Don’t read it if you’ve eaten recently.
Journalism icon says Obama can learn from Trudeau
As people around the world get ready to celebrate U.S. president-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration, one of the most respected and familiar faces in the White House press room isn’t falling blindly in line.
Nice to see that not all tongue-jobs are being delivered to Ω.

Wow - ol’ Parminder Parmar must have no hide on his/her(?) tongue and no spit available, after all that.
Bzzzt! Incorrect statement, but thanks for the futile attempt at “analysis”, Parmar. The Vinegar Prune in Red may have been in D.C. for close to 70 years (it just seems like about twice that long) - she’s never been credible as a journalist. Obstruction to logical thought and idiotic parody of a reporter, yes - journalist, never.
Not unless your definition of “journalist” is “ugly, noisy, mostly brain-dead asker of vapid questions and possessor of near-zero writing ability.”
Parminder can be either a male or a female name. I kinda figured it was female in this case: adoring obeisance given to an icon of feminist strength and accomplishment.
The only way to be a “reporter” is to answer Who, What, When, Where, Why and How - and to carefully avoid shading (let alone bathing) any of those essentials in one’s personal bias or viewpoint.
Nope - just stating that, unless you can refrain from expressing your thinking/caring in your reportage, you are not “reporting,” you’re expressing - projecting - your views, your bias, your thinking (or, in Thomas’ case, her lack of useful, intelligent thought). That’s true, whether you’re a conservative or a liberal or some admixture of the two.
