L.A. TIMES: A record crowd for inauguration? Hard to say. “More than 1 million spectators convened on the National Mall to watch Barack Obama take the oath of office Tuesday, but it was unclear if the crowd surpassed the record thought to have been set at Lyndon B. Johnson’s 1965 inauguration. Though early estimates ranged as high as 2 million people, satellite images of Obama’s swearing-in suggested the crowd was probably about half that, said Clark McPhail, who has been analyzing crowds on the National Mall since the 1960s.”
The local Fox channel is interviewing some outright Democrat flack who screamed “Two million, two million!” about the attendance. He also expressed shock that there were “conservatives who don’t want Obama to succeed. But we have the majorities, so….”
Whatever happened to lefty whining about how it was incumbent upon the majority to respect and consider the views of the minority, to be a government of the whole nation?
Oh, who am I kidding. They were hypocrites then, they are hypocrites now. I expect no better of them. They are demagogues who are after one thing - a dictatorship of the majority, as long as the majority is with them.
And here’s a bulletin for all you McCain fans:
Advocates Hopeful About Immigration Reform Under Obama, Maybe Even In First Year « Feet In 2 Worlds
“Barack Obama’s White House Spoke of Immigration Reform,” headlined Univision.com. A story by Jorge Cancino on the Spanish-language network’s website underlined the fact that the “Agenda” section of the new White House site “included the commitment to promote a change to immigration laws that allows for legalizing millions of undocumented immigrants.”
You can bet Johnny Maverick will be on board the Obama train for this one.

We really want to normalize relations with a country that may be descending into civil war.
Is it coming down to legalize the drugs, or legalize the refugees?
Legalize the drugs.
