10:20AM “We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense… we will defeat you.” There’s a lot to like in this speech.
This line is getting a lot of play, but think about it. It really doesn’t say much at all.
Who has suggested we should apologize for our way of life, except for Obama’s supporters? The Islamofascists don’t give a rat’s dick about apologies, they want to destroy our way of life. As for “not wavering,” what do you call a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq? Having a nice long face-to-face with the Tooty-Toons of Tehran? Hammer-locking Israel into ignoring Hamas rocket attacks on their children?
Notice the vagueness: We will defeat you (whoever you are - maybe those people asking for apologies) but I can’t tell you how we’ll do it. State secret, you know.
This speech wasn’t even sound and fury, signifying nothing. It was tinsel and papier mache, signifying nothing.
