“International law forbids the targeting of civilians,” said Radhika Sainath, a civil rights attorney and member of the Free Gaza Committee of the NLG. “Israel must comply with laws of war and the Fourth Geneva Convention.”
Terrorists aren’t covered by the Conventions and Hamas targets primarily civilians. This means that the World Court will persecute the Israelis and fail to prosecute the Hamas.

Well, yes the Israelis violate the norm for the Middle East by not blowing up schools and hospitals.
“The law of war prohibits collective punishment and the targeting of a civilian population disproportionate to military necessity. Israel has flouted both these prohibitions, that follow its illegal occupation of Palestinian territory and its sealing of Gaza, subjecting Gazans to near starvation,” said Marjorie Cohn, NLG president and a professor of international law at Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
War is hell lady. Israel has not targeted civilians. Nor have they done anything but finally defend themselves. And shown more restraint than I would in their situation. there is nothing “illegal” about them occupying the “Palestinian” territory, or in keeping all contraband out of it.

Not only does she lie but it is a bold face lie. Israel has shipped into Gaza over 7800 tons of food and medical supplies in the last seven days, which is more than I would do.
Seems like the TJ school of law isn’t instilling the principle TJ himself favored, when it came to these sorts of things.
The only violation of the Geneva Convention I see here is being committed by Hamas. Not using identifying markings, sheltering military supplies among civilians, sheltering military supplies in mosques and schools, sheltering your own troops among civilians, using ambulances to transport troops and supplies, etc.
All of these are violations of the Geneva Conventions, and organizations and individuals who commit them are not coveredby the Conventions in any respect. Every press conference held by the Israelis (and our government, yeah right) should start with that statement, and video footage of the violations.
