So at at time when there isn’t a single black person in the U.S. Senate, a black man arrives at the doorway and means to go forward to take what he believes is his rightful seat…

Althouse offers the racist justification for seating Roland Burris.

    If I were in Burris’ shoes I’d walk up to that door, camera in tow, thinking, “Lord, please let there be two Bull Conner lookin’ crackers guarding the door; and please have them put me in a choke-hold.” He’ll be senator for life.

    Reid’s not that stupid, but whenever you set up ordinary troops/guards/cops in a no-win situation like this, there’s potential for things to go awry.
