McCain scolds GOP for whacking Obama - Mike Allen - Politico.com
In a surprising rebuke to the warriors who fought for him through tough times, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Sunday sided with President-elect Barack Obama and scolded the Republican National Committee for fanning the Illinois corruption scandal.
What’s “surprising?”
McCain, like George Bush, is famous for sticking a knife in the back of his own party in the name of “bipartisanship.” McCain, however, has made a career out of it.

Indeed, I would expect nothing less from Senator Petain.
I’ve been actively engaging the left since the mid 1970s. I learned within a few years that they generally follow the Russian and Arab model: if you attempt to reach out to them, they regard it as weakness, and therefore a reason to attack you even harder. (Forget this “don’t kick them when they’re down” bourgeoise idea about ethics.)
Until the GOP puts forth a candidate that grasps this simple point, they’ll continue to be the punching bag of liberals and the media. When you get punched, you better punch back; otherwise just resign yourself to getting punched every time you try to stand up.
