Google Earth accused of aiding terrorists - Times Online
An Indian Court has been called to ban Google Earth amid suggestions the online satellite imaging was used to help plan the terror attacks that killed more than 170 people in Mumbai last month.
A petition entered at the Bombay High Court alleges that the Google Earth service, “aids terrorists in plotting attacks.” Advocate Amit Karkhanis has urged the court to direct Google to blur images of sensitive areas in the country until the case is decided.
Guns aided the terrorists. Ban guns. The terrorists used pencils and paper to make notes. Ban pencils and paper. The terrorists were inspired and motivated by Islam to commit their atrocities. Ban Islam.
Oh, wait a minute….

If the google earth for India is as far out of date as it is for my house(3 years) it wasn’t much help.
While we’re at it, let’s ban hotels, fishing trawlers, cell phones, television cameras, electricity, the wheel, combustion, human reproduction, thermodynamics, and gravity. That will stop those pesky terrorists!
Morons.
Well, when you read the entire article, you can smell Indian Gubmint rats at work:
Nothing to see here, move along, move along…just India’s idea of “free capitalistic competition” at work…
Dumbasses make a big deal of India’s “democracy,” but it is a socialist democracy at best and, like all such beasts, does a terrible job of providing for its people. It is also riddled with cronyism and corruption, as is usually the case.
That’s a good point, Bill, but there are some things to their credit. They’ve been opening up and getting more free and realistic than they ever were in the bad old “Non-Aligned” (i.e. Soviet shill) days, and they positively shine when compared to their neighbors.
What’s really a shame is that we’re losing our leverage to encourage them to keep opening up. If we weren’t slaloming down the socialism slope just as fast as our skis can take us, we might still be able to advocate for liberty and be taken seriously.
