Jones, an admired former Marine commandant and supreme allied commander of NATO, was appointed last November as a Bush administration envoy charged with trying to improve the often dysfunctional Palestinian security forces. As part of that assignment, he drafted a report that caused a stir in Israel by criticizing the Israeli Defense Forces’ activities in the Palestinian territories. The Israeli newspaper Haaretz said the report, which was never released publicly, “makes Israel look very bad.” Jones also reportedly favored the temporary deployment of a NATO-led international force in the territories — a position the Israeli government would probably oppose as a potential interference to its right of self defense.
No wonder the Jewish neocon-hating left loves him. (via Instapundit).

He was after my time. The NATO job is a real good reason not to pick him. And why the hell were we trying to improve the PLO?
It’s an integral part of Israel-hating fantasy/dogma: That “Palestinians” are law-abiding people who just want their own nation, and are afflicted with terrorist outlaws who could be eliminated from the equation by creating a strong Palestinian “police force/military” to oppose the “terrorists.” George Bush suffered from this delusion. So does Barry Obama.
Either the PLO/PA cannot eliminate the suicide-murder cult operating out of its “territory”, or it will not. If it cannot, then it has failed at the most basic task of governance and should be disbanded. If it will not, then it is complicit and should be destroyed. Either way, the PLO has no legitimate reason to exist.
Of course, if you look at the children’s textbooks that they print, it becomes quite clear what the PLO/PA really stands for. The PA is actively and intentionally collusive with murder cultists, with malice aforethought. The whole territory is a theo-fascist brainwashing zone. Until something is done about the gang rule and wholesale indoctrination into victimology and Jew-hatred, nothing will ever improve.
If the Palis want to behave like Somalis, they should be allowed to do so. Take away the infrastructure support that the Israelis and the international aid agencies give them. Let them live without power, clean food and water, and health care until they learn either to provide these things for themselves or how to trade peacefully and fairly for them with their neighbors. If any “pirates” venture out, shoot them.
Of course, this would likely work out as “seal them in their jars and let them kill each other like the scorpions they are.” That’s fine with me. All the aid and money they get are being used to raise up generation after generation of murderers and murder-enablers. Forcing them to focus their attention on the basic problems of survival and the capitalist principle “if you want something someone else has, produce something that someone else is willing to trade for” couldn’t possibly produce a worse situation than what our misplaced and misguided
charitytribute gets us now.
