Political Radar: Boehner to Face Leadership Challenge
ABC News’ Rick Klein Reports: A conservative California congressman announced Friday that he’s mounting a leadership challenge to House Minority Leader John Boehner, as the GOP continues to assess the fallout from last week’s election losses.
Rep. Dan Lungren, R-Calif., becomes the first rank-and-file House member to announce his intent to challenge the top House Republican in next week’s leadership elections. The No. 2 and No. 3 House Republicans have said they’re stepping down from their posts, but Boehner is seeking another term as minority leader.
For what it’s worth, Boehner gets a marginally better rating than Lungren from the ACU.

We can hope that now that the dam is broken, other GOP Congresspersons will also announce intent to seek the job.
i know dan lungren, he is the right man to take over from Boehner. dan is a conservative, and has lots of experience, was attorney general of california for 8 years and has been in the House for 14 years. He is a leader and never has strayed from his Reagan republican values.
I tend to agree, Steve. I’m not sure the ACU ratings are actually indicative of anything much. Boehner was in charge of one of the most feckless GOP congresses ever. The proof is in that stanky, festering pudding, as far as I’m concerned.
And now, to see the number two Senate Republican slurping Hillary Clinton’s behind…
