Obama planning US trials for Guantanamo detainees
WASHINGTON (AP) - President-elect Obama’s advisers are quietly crafting a proposal to ship dozens, if not hundreds, of imprisoned terrorism suspects to the United States to face criminal trials, a plan that would make good on his promise to close the Guantanamo Bay prison but could require creation of a controversial new system of justice.
During his campaign, Obama described Guantanamo as a “sad chapter in American history” and has said generally that the U.S. legal system is equipped to handle the detainees. But he has offered few details on what he planned to do once the facility is closed.
Under plans being put together in Obama’s camp, some detainees would be released and many others would be prosecuted in U.S. criminal courts.
President Barack Hussein Obama plans another end run around the Constitution, in this case granting non-existent legal “rights” to terrorists whose only goal is the destruction of the nation offering them these spurious rights.
I wonder which of Obama’s pals dreamed this one up. Probably this guy: Obama worked with terrorist.
Or maybe this one: Newsmax.com – Who is Khalid al-Mansour? I doubt if either of them have the safety, security, or interests of America at heart.

There’s good reason that the traditional penalty for captured illegal combatants is a quick interrogation followed by summary execution. Too bad the GOP was too squeamish to deal forthrightly with the problem in the way every other counter-terror operation has done until our
enlightenedbenighted age. Instead, they created this half-assed extra-legal non-jurisdiction at Gitmo, which just became a bleeding political sore and contributed to their defeat. Now the Left gets to spring their tools, either back to their battlefields where they can attack our soldiers again, or into the U.S. where they can do even worse.
yep, there was a time when the rules of engagement were “Take No Prisoners” and it may be that those are the rules of engagement now…it would be if I was the one giving the orders.
