He says:
But that’s only if his transgressions are reported and acknowledged. The layers of the onion will be:
- coverup by appointees
- ignored by the media
- defended by partisans if it comes to light
- defended by the media
- and if anything ever comes to trial, it will be dragged out forever
I think the MSM is going to wake up with a hangover, look next to them at what they brought home from the bar, and feel betrayed.
I wouldn’t count on the MSM to cover for Pres BO during his rule the way they covered for him during the election. Ask BJ Clinton about that.
Mmmm, I dunno, Toren. Maybe we should ask them after Drudge made his bones by exposing the Monica Lewinsky story that Newsweek (?) was getting ready to bury.
Well, I’m looking for optimism with a microscope.
I’m new here. What is MSM?
MSM = MainStream Media, generally construed as the big news networks ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN/FOX/MSNBC, plus the big newspapers NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Wash Post, Tribune (Chicago Trib + LA Times + others), USA Today, the big newsweeklies, Time/Newsweek/US News & World Report, and the wire services, AP/Reuters/UPI. Also sometimes referred to as the Legacy Media, because they use offline formats that predate 1994. The definition can be drawn farther out to include all local newspapers and all print magazines that include news, but the ones I’ve mentioned above are both the big players and the opinion leaders. Some would also include the big foreign players who publish in English, including the BBC, the French media and AFP, and perhaps Xinhua.
