My Way News - AP presidential poll: Race tightens in final weeks

WASHINGTON (AP) - The presidential race tightened after the final debate, with John McCain gaining among whites and people earning less than $50,000, according to an Associated Press-GfK poll that shows McCain and Barack Obama essentially running even among likely voters in the election homestretch.

The poll, which found Obama at 44 percent and McCain at 43 percent, supports what some Republicans and Democrats privately have said in recent days: that the race narrowed after the third debate as GOP-leaning voters drifted home to their party and McCain’s “Joe the plumber” analogy struck a chord.

If you believe, as I do, that much of mainstream election polling, especially that sponsored by partisans - such as large MSM outlets, political parties, and foundations with leftist axes to grind - is deliberately designed to produce an outcome desired by the sponsors - then one has to wonder why the A(nti-American) Press poll shows the race so tight.

Well, if all the polls showed Obama winning in a walk by 12-15% margins, many of his potential voters might choose to stay home on Election Day. And AP certainly wouldn’t find that outcome desirable, would it?
