BAGHDAD - American troops acting on a tip killed the No. 2 leader of al-Qaida in Iraq — a Moroccan known for his ability to recruit and motivate foreign fighters — in a raid in the northern city of Mosul, the U.S. military said Wednesday.
We’re always killing the number two this, or the number three that, in one place or another.
Doesn’t seem to make a hell of a lot of difference. There’s a lot more where they came from. Mostly in Pakistan, where they train hundreds, or even thousands, of them with impunity. The Shia variety, on the other hand, are training in Iran.
