Over the last eight years, we’ve lost 3.2 million jobs, and started a war that’s cost trillions. The lies and deceit that got us into Iraq in the first place are just the tip of the iceberg and have ruined America’s reputation across the globe.
Meanwhile, our economy continues to crumble, while crime, homelessness and poverty continue to soar.
Despite the fact that thousands of immigrants risk their safety to come here because this country may offer them better opportunities, the truth is that poverty lives right here in our own backyard.
Here’s your game for today: How many outright lies can you spot in the above quote?
If McCain wins, look for a full-fledged race and class war, fueled by a deflated and depressed country, soaring crime, homelessness - and hopelessness!
I’m taking bets on the victors in that “race war.” Fred Hampton is advising me on the odds.

See, Daniel, she put that conditional “may” in there. I mean, you can’t positively say that America offers a better opportunity than the pestholes these immigrants flee from.
Especially if they are commie or socialist pestholes.
That was my next thought. Those immigrants are fleeing from countries with the economic policies she thinks should be enacted here.
I ran out of fingers, and couldn’t get my shoes off without losing count (My personal math system is a leftover of some years spent as one of those “dumb Rethuglicans,” I guess…).

Truth To Power, indeed - in order make this particular moronity meaningful, one must a) ignore the direct comparison between the so-called “poverty line” in this country and where said “line” lies in any other country on Earth, and b) ignore the statistical trends involved in the measure of “poverty” in the U.S. for, oh, say, the last 40 or 50 years.
I went to the linked article, and read some of the comments posted to this clueless, lefty Obama-worshipper’s hopeless screed. As I write, there are 732 comments posted (all requiring “registration”, BTW - which means there’d likely be more, since that deters some folks) - I found one that actually was even-handed enough to state any degree of agreement; the others, nearly as I could tell, are relentlessly negative, from strongly to really strongly, decrying the rabid idiocy and implicit racism.
Ms. Ali is not only a liar, a piss-poor writer and (based purely on her name) a scurfy Muslim-wanna-be, she’s obviously highly-ignorable even in her own little corner of the U.S.
Just another waste of oxygen and protoplasm…
Yes Daniel, those immigrants are fleeing countries with the economic policies she wants enacted. However, you’re forgetting that those people, whom she would have enact the policies over here, are so much smarter than, well, pretty much anybody else in the history of man, that this time it will work.
