The U.S. has agreed to Polish requests including modernization of its armed forces in exchange for the location of the missiles, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said in an interview with private broadcaster TVN24 this evening.

The missiles won’t be a major threat, but a US-trained and supplied military will. And the Poles know how to fight. Ask the last wave of Muslims that tried to take Europe.
Further, do you think Russia’s horrible example in Georgia might have had any influence on Poland - and every other currently free nation on Russia’s borders?

Actually, I think it was the U.S. anger over the Georgia invasion that caused the changed. Poland wanted the agreement all along.
Before the invasion we didn’t want to offend the bear. Now the message is ’screw you.’ You invaded Georgia and so we are starting to set up the patriot wall around your f*cking empire. At least George and Condi got this one right.
