McCain Differs With Bush on Climate Change - New York Times
PORTLAND, Ore. — Senator John McCain sought to distance himself from President Bush on Monday as he called for a mandatory limit on greenhouse gas emissions in the United States to combat climate change.Mr. McCain, in a speech at a wind power company, also pledged to work with the European Union to diplomatically engage China and India, two of the world’s biggest polluters, if they refuse to participate in an international agreement to slow global warming.
Here it comes: The McCain-Kennedy-Feingold Greenhouse Gas Reform Bill mandating that businesses must spend hundreds of billions of dollars to prevent greenhouse gas emissions.
Constitutional? He doesn’t give a damn. If it’s a choice between halting global warming and the constitution, he’ll take the global warming scenario.
UPDATE:
McCain’s Assault on Reason.

Like battered women that keep on inexplicably returning to an abusive partner, or those guys who, after having been told that the relationship is over and done with, won’t take no for an answer, some people just never learn…
Hasn’t McCain learned from watching the W Administration that the only thing you accomplish by adopting the left’s policies is alienating the right? No Conservative Left Behind™… The left is still going to hate you.
