Mobile phones could kill far more people than smoking or asbestos, a study by an award-winning cancer expert has concluded. He says people should avoid using them wherever possible and that governments and the mobile phone industry must take “immediate steps” to reduce exposure to their radiation.
The study, by Dr Vini Khurana, is the most devastating indictment yet published of the health risks.
I suspect this “study” will eventually be exposed as hysterical nonsense. But DP readers already knew that.

He appears to be a neurosurgeon, not a “cancer expert”. The only place this “study” appears to have been published is this site. A US website for an Aussie.
If I were cynical, I’d think that this “study” were a clever way to attract class action lawyer dollars. The study specifically mentions two of the most-sued-over substances on the planet, which fuels my speculation. If I were a greedy and unscrupulous lawyer needing new victims, I’d pay for another study along these lines. Notice I qualified my definition of the lawyer involved.
More cynical: this guy is already working for a lawyer, who’ll need a study like this come trial-time. Has anyone seen John Edwards lately?
