On Sunday, the Iranians tested us. We failed. They’ll probe us again. And every time we fail to react decisively, we raise the number of future US casualties.
Remember the USS Cole? You bet the Iranians do. They plan to better that attack by an order of magnitude.

We need leaders defending our nation, not politicians. Unfortunately, we will continue to get politicians like George W. Bush until some truly horrifying catastrophe finally awakens the fat, the happy, and the dumb to the fact that we really are at war.
UPDATE: Of course, Peters himself has hardly been an advocate of meaningful measures against Iran. He’d probably like to forget that, though.


The sad thing is, if the Navy had opened fire we’d have half the country crying Gulf of Tonkin no matter what information came out.
That’s why we need leaders, not politicians. You don’t run wars on public opinion polls or newspaper propaganda.
Not if you want to win them, you don’t.
