CLINTONS NO LONGER THE LIFE OF PARTY
January 4, 2008 — DES MOINES, Iowa - Awaiting her coronation here last night, Hillary Rodham Clinton instead faced a seething revolt within her own party.
More than 70 percent of Iowa Democrats rejected her bid to get back into the White House.
This is the most important fact to come out of the Iowa race. Iowa itself is, as I have pointed out, meaningless in the larger picture, but it is a race the Clintons should have won easily. Instead, a party that once supported them in numbers exceeding ninety percent gave her less than a third of that.
What’s going to be interesting to watch over the next several weeks is the fallout from this: That since the Clintons may not be able to beat Obama, they will have to destroy him. You haven’t even begun to see the ugly yet.

Nice of the guy to mention this.
In the spirit of the “yellow dog Democrat”, I proffer up “dead goat voters”: those who would bugger a dead goat before voting for Hillary.

didn’t bill finish dead last in iowa to come back and get the nomination? iowa has a history of being wrong and the fact that huckabuck finished on top is a perfect example of that.
The unknown governor from a small southern state who finished last in Iowa is a far cry from the HillBilly juggernaut that entered the fray there this election cycle.
Rats, and the Clintons, are dangerous when backed into a corner. I agree with Bill, it’s going to get ugly. But the Clintons are smart enough not to do it themselves, so it’ll be interesting to see who the surrogates will be.
