My Way News - Huckabee Sees WH ‘Bunker Mentality’
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Mike Huckabee, who has joked about his lack of foreign policy experience, is criticizing the Bush administration’s efforts, denouncing a go-it-alone “arrogant bunker mentality” and questioning decisions on Iraq.
Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor now running for the Republican presidential nomination, lays out a policy plan that is long on optimism but short on details in the January-February issue of the journal Foreign Affairs, which is published by the Council on Foreign Relations. A copy of his article was released Friday.
“American foreign policy needs to change its tone and attitude, open up, and reach out,” Huckabee said.
I’ve got a lot of problems with the Bush White House and its conduct of the War on Terror and its approach to foreign policy regarding same, but “arrogant bunker mentality” is most definitely not one of them.
As far as I’m concerned, we’ve had way too much “reaching out,” and nowhere near enough “take them out” as far as Islamofascist terrorism and the regimes that support it goes.

My impression is that Huck would dip into commercial kitchens nationwide, ala Bloomberg banning trans-fats in NYC, then do quick hop and skip into my kitchen, in my home, to tell me what I can cook (that is unless he moves into my den first to tell me that I can’t smoke and strongly urge me to watch educational TV while wearing a seatbelt).
If I had abodes in both NY and FL, I’d vote against him twice. Obviously, this is why the MSM is so happy to see him in their poll driven lead.
If there’s even a bit of sanity left in the GOP he’ll crash and burn dramatically in Iowa and NH and go back on down to the Ozarks to nibble on tofu or whatever the health food du jour is.
If that Arkansas snake oil purveyor steps into my commercial kitchen, he’ll find himself running out of there screaming to baby Jesus minus at least four fingers, which by that time will be amongst the coffee grounds in the trash.
Health nazis; I hate those guys.
