Your Saturday Dose Of Dumbass…
August 25th 2007 General, Dumbasses

Just when I think that BDS has finally gone over the top, along comes another raver to take the concept to new levels:

The Huffington Post

MARTIN LEWIS

General Pace, You Can Save the US - by Arresting Bush for “Conduct Unbecoming”

General Peter Pace
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
400 Joint Staff Pentagon
Washington, D.C. 20318-0400

Dear General Pace,

I note with admiration your courage in making clear your private concerns about the safety of the US military and the longterm danger to US national security caused by the President’s stubborn refusal to acknowledge the quagmire in Iraq.

Though you are Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the President’s principal military advisor - President Bush has shown his disdain for your honesty and wisdom. Though you are a decorated Vietnam war hero - who has served his nation honorably for four decades - the President is dispensing with your services. You have one month left in your position before you are tossed out by the President.

President Bush is going to ignore your advice. Just as he has ignored the advice of other Generals who have had the courage to respectfully point out how terribly wrong he is in respect of the Iraq War and the safety of the US military he is sworn to protect. Highly-decorated colleagues of yours such as General Anthony Zinni (Commander in Chief of U.S. Central Command), General Eric Shinseki (Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army) and General John Abizaid (Commander of the U.S. Central Command).

General Pace - you have the power to fulfill your responsibility to protect the troops under your command. Indeed you have an obligation to do so.

You can relieve the President of his command.

(emphasis in original)

What follows is a tramp through the lower fever swamps of the leftist mind not seen since Seven Days In May. At least in that movie, the coup was being plotted by evil military wingnuts. This dumbass leftard Martin Lewis has decided that the coup should come from the left, because the president won’t listen to his generals.

Lewis shows he is effectively ignorant of how the constitution works, but that doesn’t stop his little jerk-off fantasy. He seriously believes that Gen. Pace actually has an obligation to save the nation by “relieving” the president of his “command.” Of course, being a nutsack, Lewis doesn’t consider the practical angle of first having the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff going completely insane. Or the rest of the Chiefs tying him to his chair after relieving him of his command. Or, if it actually got down to it, the rather large phalanx of humorless Secret Service agents just itching to protect the president from a military take over of the United States.

I just love it when the left puts it’s neofascist wet dreams on record.

The comments are a hoot, with Lewis insisting that he’s not advocating a military coup d’etat. No, he just wants Gen. Pace to relieve the president long enough to subject him to a courts martial. That’s all. No biggie. Besides, Gen. Pace has, uh, a duty and all. Actually, it’s a little tough to figure out just what Lewis is saying in defense of his little screed, what with all the drooling going on.

Sublime moonbattery at its finest… Savor it.
