Darth Rove? Or Klumsy Karl?

Howard Kurtz - Karl Rove, Insider With an Outsize Reputation - washingtonpost.com

From the moment he leaked word of his departure to the Wall Street Journal editorial page, Karl Rove has been lionized and vilified by the media hordes. He is either a political giant, shrewdly plotting a series of victories during the Bush presidency, or a nation-wrecker, sowing the seeds of division to boost the GOP.

That’s odd. Some of us see a third option, Howie: That Rove (and his boss) did more damage to their own party than even the Clintons did to theirs.

At this point, Rove the genius has managed to lose both houses of Congress, alienated the base of the GOP, and has probably gone a long way toward making sure a GOP candidate cannot with the Presidency next year either.

But hey - you media guys have your own fantasies you have to feed, so have at it.
