Sheehan: Let’s get away from usual party politics / Peace activist voices her independent streak
The feedback I have been receiving since I announced that I would challenge U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco, for her House seat — unless she gives impeachment the go-ahead — has been running about 3-to-1 positive.
If she runs, I’ll be voting for her. Now that Cynthia “Commie” McKinney has been so rudely retired by Constitutionally permitted term limits, Congress has sadly lacked a really florid lefty moonbat to serve as a figure of vicious fun - as well as a suitably horrible example - of the “progressive left” as it is today.
Further, I’d love to see Pelosi have to go back to gardening at her mansion to keep herself busy, instead of trying her damnedest to destroy the United States.

She was done in by the voters, not term limits
do - defeat at the polls is the only form of constitutionally permitted term limits for members of Congress.
Her term got limited, didn’t it?
What, Kucinich ain’t good enough for ya? ;-)
I desperately want to see Princess Pelosi dethroned, and the irony of having it done by a moonbat of the sort Pelosi has done her best to create and nurture would be delicious. When you try to ride the tiger, there is always the risk that the tiger will eat you.
I’d love to see both Queen Nancy and CourtJester Reid dethroned. I don’t think Cindy has a chance, but maybe it would be a wake-up call. Waitaminnit, where is my brain!!! C-4 couldn’t wake up these brain-dead ninnies!
Manadatory term limits are the only way. Otherwise, we’ll be stuck with the Byrds and Kennedy’s forever - they are the best that money can buy… Sad, ain’t it?
Fed, you either don’t live in San Francisco, or you don’t know this town (which is a major part of Pelosi’s district) very well. Assuming she can raise enough money and volunteers, Sheehan has a perfectly good chance of dethroning Pelosi. And I don’t think she’ll have either money or volunteer problems. This town is the headquarters of Code Pink and every other flavor of fevered leftist you can imagine. Loony Cindy will be right up their alley.
The problem is, Sheehan is so demonstrably dumb that even SF might recoil. They elect the demented, but not the completely moronic (that is Georgia’s job).
You obviously have no familiarity with our board of supervisors.
Short answer - nothing capable of breathing is “too dumb” for San Francisco.
Most San Franciscans, if told they had just elected a potted geranium as Mayor, wouldn’t even bat an eyelash. “Where does it stand on stopping the war?” would be their only question.
Well, you would know better than I.
Here is a typical San Francisco politician.
This guy wants to abolish the post of Chief of Police. He’s also “working with anti-war activist organizations such as Code Pink, Global Exchange and Veterans for Peace and considering introducing a proposal to ban the Blue Angels from flying during San Francisco’s Fleet Week.”
Cindy would fit right in.
Truly a beauty. You are fortunate to have him.
On a more serious note, I’ve been surprised for quite a while now that Pelosi hasn’t seen a serious challenge from the local far left. San Francisco is an interesting mix of old-line Democratic machine politics (The Willie Brown/Burton Brothers machine) which some say has now been supplanted - or taken over - by the Pelosi/Newsom machine, and a far left “grass-roots” (heavily aided and organized by Soros and Marxist money-folks). They hate each other, and the tension is palpable.
Here is an example of the lefty grass-roots:

These folks are serious, and I think they would happily work and contribute to elect a Cindy Sheehan to replace Pelosi, whom they regard as a tool of the ruling class. With the exception of the Mayor, Pelosi, and the local state reps, they already control local politics. I don’t think the machine will be able to hold out against them forever.
Well Cindy did it.
At least if Cindy gets elected someone else will be Speaker.
