Hot Air » Blog Archive » Video: Fred! unloads on the amnesty bill

From a speech last night in Connecticut, which started cute. It’s standard stuff except for the part about America being “beset by suicidal maniacs.” Pathetically, Hotline took that to be some sort of oblique reference to Cho Seung-Hui and wondered pointedly whether Thompson believes all legal immigrants are ticking timebombs. Apparently Cho’s the only suicidal maniac that comes to mind for them when they think about border policy — although they did add, purely as an afterthought, “maybe Thompson’s referring to hidden terror cells in the US.”

Hotline is a quintessential Beltway blog, in case you were wondering just how hermetically sealed off from reality our would-be rulers-for-life actually are.  Apparently Hotline has forgotten about the planes full of suicidal maniacs who destroyed the World Trade Center and blew a big hole in the Pentagon while murdering several thousand people.

But then, how could Hotline be expected to recall trivia like that, when there are important issues afoot - like making sure an indeterminate number of millions of illegal aliens receive instant amnesty?
