And 40,000 whites who applied to and were rejected by the University of Michigan between 1995-2003 may file claims and seek damages against the taxpayer-supported school for racial discrimination. CIR filed suit against the school ten years ago on behalf of two people, and that case has been settled. Each plaintiff will receive $10,000 in damages.
At treble damages, that’s a potential 1.2 billion dollar pool. I think that might even be enough to draw the American Duece out of the prexy race (and his new palace) and back into the litigation wars again.


U of M won’t have to pay out anything near that. Some judge will turn it into a class action, and the only thing all those would be students will receive is a 50% off coupon for a Super Cuts haircut.
