Senators Unite On Challenge to Bush’s Troop Plan - washingtonpost.com

This coward’s way out would make more sense to me if it represented disatisfaction with The Surge to Purge strategy because it didn’t go far enough and, in fact, Bush’s entire strategy for the “War” on Something or Other was doomed by virtue of its refusal to engage the real enemies of America.

And then there is the non-binding nature of the resolutions themselves. Only in the bubble chamber atmosphere of Washington could the idjits in the Senate think this does anything but enrage the maximum amount of people. Bush supporters will hate them, and the lefty Bush-haters (most of the Democratic party) will hate them even more for their spinelessness.

Only dumbasses like Reid and Warner could view this as a win-win effort.
