Hot Air » Blog Archive » Jamilgate bombshell: E&P reporters parachute into Hurriya, verify AP “burning six” story

She didn’t save the day. She merely risked her own neck to determine whether the AP’s story about the destruction of four mosques by Shiite militias was true. It wasn’t. And odds are very, very good you’ll never see that fact reported in “the bible of the newspaper industry.”

Fitting the use of the word “bible” to describe another outlet peddling irrational mysticism and fairy tales under the guise of Absolute Truth.

And one aside on the Jamil Hussein mention: Has anybody interviewed this guy yet, or is even his very existence still hanging on AP reports and the word of one mid-level Iraqi official? (Who I’m sure is absolutely uncorruptible, as are all Iraqi officials).
