Interview Jamil Hussein!
January 22nd 2007 War, Media, Iraq

Hot Air » Blog Archive » Hurriya’s Mosques: Still Standing

The Associated Press has been highly successful at framing questions about their inaccurate reporting from Iraq as being entirely an issue of whether Jamil Hussein (or whatever his name is) exists, and then, citing one government figure who purports to confirm the existence of Hussein, claiming victory over all those who raised, not just questions of Hussein’s existence, but his accuracy as a sole source for more than sixty questionable AP stories.

Leaving aside that nobody has yet been able to interview Hussein, or otherwise confirm the truth of the government confirmation of his existence, on the ground reporting from the blogosphere is making it increasingly obvious that questions about his accuracy are being resolved - and that his accuracy is non-existent.

Still, this is likely not a story that the MSM will wish to pursue. Even Malkin and Preston’s sponsor, Eason Jordan, is not giving this report particularly heavy play.
