Today I am announcing that I will form an exploratory committee to run for president.
And what a shocker this is!
UPDATE: Some are speculating that Barack Obama “scared” Hillary into declaring early, but I doubt it. The shredders in the Clinton attack teams will destroy Obama long before he becomes a threat - and, in fact, I’d like to know a lot more about their first salvo, about his four year education in an Indonesian madrassah, and his concealment of a Muslim education. I think what did move Hillary is California’s intention to move its primary up to early February, which might will allow the winner there to pre-emptively sew up the nomination. If that’s the case, the Dem presidential ticket may well be on the line a hair more than a year down the road, and in political terms, that means “Time’s a wasting!”

We who want to see a real Republican in the White House can certainly hope you are right. Gore has about as much chance of winning election as, well, you do, Zipper.
Actually, ZIpper’s prospect brings up nightmares for me. If they run Gore, the GOP can put up almost anyone and win. Wanna bet it’s a RINO?
Even a stalwart republican like Zipper would have a chance. (tongue firmly in cheek).
I wonder why anyone even mentions Al Gore. He’s done nothing to prepare for a campaign, and if he started now, he’d be behind already.
Al has a new crusade, global warming, and he’s out there with the international jet set traveling the world, and you expect him to go freeze his buns off in New Hampshire? He has no base - he couldn’t carry his home state last time. How’s he going to do it from his condo in Bill’s neighborhood?
His documentary is up for an Oscar, to be voted on by some of his biggest fans and supporters. In short, Al Gore has gone Hollywood!
